How I wrote my rocking Groom Wedding Speech

April 13th, 2012 Groom Speech

On top of everything else you have to do for your wedding, you also have to write your groom’s speech. It will be the hardest thing you do for your wedding, but I found this site to help me write it without any problems. Mine was the perfect groom wedding speech. I received a lot of compliments about it during the reception.

I can tell you right now, writing a groom speech is not that easy. You can spend hours, even days on it and it still won’t sound right to you. You can ask all your friends what they would say in the groom speech but they won’t help, even though some of them are married. They will tell you they don’t remember what they said. Likely story, but I do believe them. Writing a groom speech is not that ease.

There is one thing you have going for you — there is time until the wedding day. At least, there should be unless your wedding is this weekend. Even if it is, the information you’ll find on WeddingSpeech4U will help you a lot. It helped me, but I took my time writing my groom wedding speech.

If you think you’re at the end of the line, then think again. You didn’t think it would be so hard to write your wedding speech, but now that it’s just days away, you’re looking for some help. WeddingSpeech4U has helped me and it only took a couple of hours and write the words without any trouble. You can even talk it over with your bride to be, so you don’t end up saying the same thing.

There a lot of people to thank and if you forget one person they’re going to be upset, especially if they’re at the wedding. You have to think about what you want to say, and then put it in writing. Not an easy task, at least for me it wasn’t. For you, it might be helpful if you had some samples of other groom wedding speeches. You’ll be able to figure out how to word your speech.

You probably won’t even remember your groom speech after you’re done with it, but everyone else’s will and they won’t hesitate to tell you how good it was. That’s one of the best things about a wedding, people don’t mind if you don’t remember anything.

Funny Groom Speeches – How to land on that perfect joke?

November 13th, 2011 Funny Groom Speeches

A fact often notices is that funny groom speeches rally please the crowd. This does not mean that weeding speeches needs to be all out hilarious; they do create a feel good factor as long as the words are meaningful and are not hurting anyone’s feelings. Humor is definitely a great ingredient for a good wedding speech recipe.

Even though I wanted to keep my speech in a lighter vein I ensured that it did not disrespect anyone. The bride father had his own speech; I wanted to express my gratitude to him and didn’t want to insult my bride or her father. You never know what catastrophe a bad joke could bring down.

The ingredients of good speech humor

Well the one big advantage of sprinkling my wedding speech with humor was that it kept the crowd focused on what I was saying.  Time and again it helped grab their attention and made sure they listened to what I said.  During a toast the star attraction should be the groom and he must be able to keep the lime light on himself as well as his bride.

An ideal way to deploy this tactic would be to add a dose of humor in between your regular speech. Jokes should ease the situation after you express yourselves emotionally.  The fact that I was quite emotional and nervous helped me and the audience.

A key factor that can help you deliver a great speech is to maintain an informal tone throughout your speech. For heavens sake it’s a toast not a lecture. The atmosphere should be like wherein the groom having a chat with his old buddies, which is how usually things are

Maintaining proper eye contact with the audience always helps; focusing your attention in only one direction is a strict no. Practicing this with my friends turned out be a really good thing, as it helped me a lot on my wedding day.

These are some of the tips that can help you out when it comes to funny groom speeches. Try out a few wedding speech examples for better ideas.

November 8th, 2011 Wedding Toasts

It is acceptable that you forgot to thank someone in your groom’s day speech, but saying completely wrong things in your groom toasts can turn out to be a complete blunder. Well I was keen on avoiding this blunder; let me give you some great tips that can save you from this blunder!

How to please your bride

Well for starters mentioning about your previous relationships on your wedding day is big NO. There are grooms who make that mistake. You might want to make positive comparisons of your new wife, stay away from it , this is the not the day to do it. She will hate it.

Well you might be tempted to make a passing joke about your new wife. Do not do that, this isn’t the place for it. The best option indeed would be to stick to what you know would be sure to please you wife. I stuck to that and guess what? It really worked.

Stay away from Alcohol

Well this one could land you in big trouble. Even if you have rehearsed your speech a million times an overdose of alcohol can turn the tables on you.  You may very well end up saying the wrong thing. I was well aware of this and kept the drinking part after my speech. I am grateful that I did it.

How can your Groom Wedding Speech make everyone happy?

October 27th, 2011 Groom Speech

Well your groom wedding speech isn’t all about free writing – it has an underlying cause , the primary objective indeed is to ensure that you have include all you dear ones in it. Well I realized it quite late! It ensures that all of them present for your wedding are happy and the wedding rolls on smoothly.

Thank your dear and near ones

I made sure that my wedding speech included the names of all of them who were dear to me and were the reason for me standing there on this day. I thanked one and all, my soul mate, my best man and all of them who stood for me. One important reminder, never forget the father of the bride, thank him first before you go ahead with your speech.  He may have things to talk about you in his father of the bride speech, so it makes perfect sense to keep in him good mood.

Make a note to thank your family

I knew this was a story that I had repeated a lot of times, yet I felt I should begin my groom speech with a tale of how I happened to meet this wonderful woman who came into my life. This one is usually very well accepted by the crowd and  ear pleasing to all the special people who have come down to be with you on this special day.

The next turn is to mention my family; I would write things that would bring a smile on their faces and make them feel proud and happy.  This after all what better opportunity would you get to show to tell you loved ones how much they mean to you? It means a lot to them if you tell them how important their role has been in your life.

Do remember that the day you tie the knot is about how much you love the woman who is walking into your life, but it is also about how much the people who have gathered around you mean to you. Though writing a wedding speech was like walking the tight rope for me, I soon realized that you can please everyone if you are a smart enough.

The first step to writing my Groom Wedding Speech

October 18th, 2011 Groom Speech

Well it was quite nerve racking. I mean from the time me and Jane decided to tie the knot I knew I would have to come up with a groom wedding speech.  Guess I undermined its importance. I kept postponing writing the speech for weeks on end. Till I finally realized it would be too late!

Mark my words guys; do not postpone writing your speech!  Try writing it as early as possible.

As you start writing you speech, you come to realize that it indeed is an uphill task.  Saying your wedding vows in front of all of those gathered out there is in itself a daunting task; to deliver a wedding speech on top of that may seem like too much to ask!

As the wedding date got nearer I racked my brains thinking of a wedding speech that would bring a smile on others face and yet convey my true feelings, but I just couldn’t come up with anything. Well all I could manage was to scribble down some things that I could think of.

Well you could think of a lot of better ideas to come up with something worthwhile, but this was good for starters.

I was tough initially, but with the help of guides and speech prompts I started penning down tit bits of info about me and my bride. Information on the times we spent together, unforgettable moments, our first meeting and all such thoughts that came to my mind. These bits of information became the base to my writing and helped me write down about the distance we have travelled together to reach this destination.

Well a word of advice, do not bother about what or in what order you are writing and most of all don’t go searching for wedding speech jokes. As the wise men put it well begun is half done, the first step to writing a good wedding speech is to start writing it. The moment I started penning down my thoughts, I had crossed the first road block to writing a good wedding speech.
